Arj is a 27 year veteran of the Canadian and global energy sector. After earning a degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary, he worked 11 years with Calgary-based Nova Chemicals in a variety of roles relating to natural gas and petrochemicals technology, production and strategy.
Prior to founding CRH Corp., Arj spent 15 years as President of Convex International, the high-level management advisory firm he created to serve the global energy industry. At Convex, Arj was active in a broad range of advisory roles on energy sector issues, advising national governments, national energy companies, International Oil Companies, and other firms around the world.
Arj served as a member of the faculty at the Canadian Petroleum Institute (CPI) from 1999 to 2008, developing the course material and anchoring the CPI's Executive Training program for natural gas strategy, teaching senior energy industry executives from around the world.
Arj's expertise covers most of the energy sector including oil and gas, electric power, petrochemicals, renewable energy, biofuels, carbon footprint. Energy sector policy, business development and strategy, and technology development are key areas of Arj's expertise. Arj has been an invited speaker at international conferences and forums, and has staked a reputation as a specialist in issues relating to the “Energy-Chemicals Interface”. Arj speaks six languages, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Bengali, Hindi/Urdu.

Fernando is a 35 year veteran of the Canadian and global energy sector. Fernando earned a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering at the National University of San Marcos and an M.SC degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Utah and has had a distinguished technical and management career in the energy industry. Following completion of his B.Sc., Fernando commenced his career with PetroPeru in their oil refining division, pioneering simulation methods for refining process operations.
Since 2000, Fernando has been the Director of the Peru Canada Hydrocarbons Assistance program, an energy sector institutional strengthening program in cooperation with the Peruvian government, funded by the Canadian government as part of Canada-Peru bilateral relations. During this period, Fernando was also a part-time member of the faculty at the Canadian Petroleum Institute. Prior to his current role Fernando served in a variety of management roles with the Nova group in Canada, in their petrochemicals and gas transmission divisions (currently TransCanada Pipelines). While with the Nova group, Fernando was Business Development Director – South America for Novagas International, prior to which he was Manager of Technology for Nova Chemicals in their polyolefins division.
Fernando has also worked in Canada and the USA, for engineering firms PBS and CF Braun, providing expertise in the areas of process engineering and project management. Fernando’s energy sector specialties include corporate strategy, business development, technology development, and government relations. Fernando is fluent in English and Spanish.
